I’m assuming that wolves knew whom they targeted. So if someone wanted to claim getting attacked, great. Or if the blocker decided they wanted to out their target, great. Or if someone wanted to claim night cancel, yay. If no one wanted to say anything, then I would just continue to sit here in the dark.
It originates from Baby Animals where @Viscernable and I were wolves and decided to NK @supershorty N1 (N0 technically) even though she’d modded the last game. The thread blew up, people called us dick wolves, and Midwife and Cray spent 30 pages of the game arguing about who would and who wouldn’t “be a dick” and kill a previous mod off the bat and wether or not you could use it to clear certain people and narrow down the POE.

I'm not fully certain what I'm doing with my meta currently.
I’m still uncomfortable with the question, and worry about it. But at the risk of starting this debate again, it might incline people to lean one way or the other on their reads of people. AM for example who has gotten some heat this game but said she would not have killed me N1 this game before the reveal. She could be lying, it could be WIFOM, but on the whole, it seems believable. So if it helps villagers get a better read on each other, at the cost of not giving away too much to the wolves it seems beneficial overall.
