Hi everyone,

I filled out my AMCAS application and have everything ready but didn't want to submit until I got my MCAT score back. I'll be taking my MCAT next week. A friend at a medical school said I should send in everything ASAP and not wait for the grade. But I just want to wait at least till the day I take the MCAT to see how it feels. As of now, my scores on the AAMC practices are fluctuating in the VS (between 9 and 10), in PS it's consistently a 10, and between 11 or 12 in BS. My GPA is 3.9, biology major, philosophy minor. I think I have good EC's. What would you guys suggest?

You need to send it in ASAP. If you wait to submit until you get your MCAT you won't be complete until October and you'll have very little chance of getting an acceptance.

Submit now. You'll have your MCAT score before you're verified. If it's bad, then you can withdraw (before verification) without being considered a reapplicant in the future.

Thanks guys. I want to submit it tonight or tomorrow. I've gotten my personal statement checked by several friends, but haven't asked anyone to proofread my work/activities explanations nor my disadvantaged explanation. So long as they're dramatically correct and give relevant info, do you think I need to get them proofread?

If anyone would like to look through my work/activities/disadvantaged responses, please let me know! It's only 3 pages long altogether 🙂
I'd really appreciate it! I'm just too embarrassed to let friends read this stuff.

Submit now and choose schools later. You'll be verified by the time you get your mcat score back. Everything is important, you might want to have someone look it over before you submit.
