hello everyone! I'm just very intimidated with the statistics I've been seeing..
Here's my stats:

GPA: 3.45 (116 credits)
shadowing (5 dents): 100+
volunteering: 50+
DAT: will take it June
Research: 2 sem
Job: 25 hrs/wk (retirement home)

But here's the kick: my CC gpa is 2.85 (58 creds)

so that averages about 3.25..

opinions please..should I apply or not? or should I just take more courses and wait till next year?

Numbers don't mean much. When it comes to it, they just want to know if you will be able to handle the material and if you really want to be what you are applying for. Apparently you have put in the hours. Your GPA indicates improvement, which is much better than doing worse or being stagnant.

On AADSAS, is there a place that shows your upward trend? What if one goes to a 4 year university(no other classes taken at any other institutions), do overall GPA and science GPA show up? How do they know whether you have an upward trend or not?

All of your course work is displayed chronologically by term and also is summed by institution. Adcoms can look at either one to see an upward trend.

This is only true if your school follows the semester system. Colleges that use quarter system have a pretty messed up order actually.

Thank you for the reply. I go to UCI and this school runs on a quarter system. My GPA after freshman year was about 3.1 and right now I stand at a 3.5(junior year). So will they see the upward trend on AADSAS when we enter in the classes? Or, should I give them a heads up in my personal statement? Also, what do you mean by summed by the institution? Thank you.

UCI goes by quarter right? If so, your upward trend might look a little bit confusing on AADSAS because they don't know how to properly align them in chronological orders.

But your GPA is solid, I wouldn't worry too much about it.

It looks like the only chronogical mistake is that they list the spring quarter prior to the winter. It's still arranged properly according to the year. So in the big picture, a year to year trend should be apparent.
