2.9 Pharmcas GPA. Taking PCAT this summer. Will apply to mid and low tier schools. Classes remain Bio 1(Fall) and 2(Spring), Physics 1(Fall) and 2(Spring), Econ(Fall), Stat(Spring), and Biochem(Summer)

1 Year Pharm Tech. 1 Year Health Club. I had to interview for the position and I got to partake in interviewing the upcoming members. Got paid a stipend as well. Been working as a retail associate since I was 16.

If I apply next cycle then I'll be taking Bio 1 and 2 fall and spring and Physics in the summer. So my cGPA and sGPA will be higher.

As long as you complete all pre reqs or show you will have by start time, then I say go for it. You need a strong PCAT as well

If I apply early, can they prolong their decision to see my fall grades? I can probably bring it up to a 3.0 by the end of fall. If I apply right now and complete the prerequisites I save a year, but If I apply in 2 years, my app will look better. That's the dilema i'm in right now lol. I will also have my bachelors.

Just curious...how are you just taking Bio I & II...isn't that a pre-req for Anatomy/physio? Or maybe its not for your school. I had to take that before I could take Cell Bio, Genetics, and Anat/Physio.
A 2.9 isn't competitive but I think it'll do for some schools. I heard that if you don't have a high GPA, then applying ED or as early as possible is the best way to go. If you're not in a rush to start pharmacy school, then I would wait until your app looks better. But if you're set on starting right away, then Im sure there will be some schools that will take you if you also have a good PCAT. The caveat is getting into the one you want. My friend applied in January and got into a good school. They were able to see her fall grades. Waiting until January is another option. I really don't think your GPA will change drastically with one semester, so I doubt they will be concerned about waiting to see your fall grades. They'll prob make the assessment that you'll get the sames grades as you've been getting and go off of that.
