And if I do significantly better on my retake? You would be better off to apply in early June. The GPA-MCAT grid shows you have a ~50% chance for a MD acceptance. Some schools average scores so unless you score at least 4 points higher it will not increase your chances significantly. Also data shows that those who repeat a 512 score have a 1/3 chance of scoring the same or lower. I suggest these schools with your stats:
Mercer
Medical College Georgia
NOVA MD
Belmont
Alice Walton
Roseman
TCU
Ponce (St.Louis)
Rosalind Franklin
Medical College Wisconsin
Oakland Beaumont
Wayne State
Wake Forest
Methodist (when it opens)
Eastern Virginia
Virginia Commonwealth
Drexel
Temple
Penn State
New York Medical College
Albany
Vermont
Quinnipiac
If you apply in June you can pre write your secondaries. If you score significantly higher you may be able to add more schools in late July. And if I do significantly better on my retake?
I'm more concerned about my secondary application timings, do you have any advice about that?
should I submit secondaries before my new score? I've heard schools will hold my application til they receive my new score, but will this put me at a disadvantage? If you apply in June you can pre write your secondaries. Submit your secondaries before your new score. Schools will not wait on your new score since you already have a score of 512 on your application.should I submit secondaries before my new score?
