I'm an IL resident. Foreigner with green card. Did undergra in a foreign country. PHD in US. I'm thinking that research oriented schools, (most of them are private), are my best bet. Should I apply to all the state schools in IL?

You are going to need to provide a lot more info, GPAs, mcat, ec's, etc
no undergra GPA because foreign school, postbac under GPA (have not calculated, taken while in graduate school, but all A+ , except two A and one A-), graduate GPA, dont know, no credits from school. MCAT 35Q
EC 300+ hr clinical volunteer at two places.
shadowing : 20+ three doctors
3 publications (2 first author), and 1 still first author still in revision
strong letters from porfessors who have taught me. LOR from PI may not be very strong
