I just took the DAT last weekend and my scores brought up a question. I am a Junior, i have 63 credit hours i have finished all prereqs except physics. My GPA is 4.0 and my DAT scores turned out to be 21/20/21. i was planning on getting a BS and then applying. But do you think i should save some time and just apply now and try to get in without a BS? It will be great if i get accepted but do you think i will? I am an illinois resident from university of Illinois at Chicago..ill probably have 93 credits by the end of this year and with summer school 98? what are my chances ? any helpful comments are highly appreciated ! Thank you

Get your degree. It's not a race. The added maturity you'll get with each year will help you acquire confidence from your patients.

bump..what do u guys think wil i get accepted somewhere?? plz let me know what u think asap

does it really matteR? if you have the money, then apply to see for yourself.

some schools absolutely mandate that you have an undergrad degree, but most don't realy care...its' just "preferred."

your stats seem very solid, so if you have the money, you should give it a try...of course you shouldn't apply to a school that requires you have an undergrad degree...that would just be a waste of time.

You'll get some interviews so long as you're not a weirdo. Whether or not you get in after the interview depends on how much the interviewer likes you as a person.

Since you are an Illinois resident, scratch UIC College of Dentistry - the Dean of Admissions stated that they absolutely require a Bachelor's before matriculation (unless you are part of the GPPA program). So basically, you will probably have to go out of state. Southern Illinois COD is an option, but it is GHETTO.
