Should I bother applying without bachelor's degree?

I am very close to completing my prerequisites and I hope to take the DAT this August.

I wanted to apply to AT Stills because they do not require a bachelor's degree.

Do you think it's even worth it?

I'm not sure if any dental schools require you to have completed a bachelor degree before acceptance, but I believe the vast majority of accepted students do have a degree. When will you be finished with your pre-reqs? If you will be done with all of them by this summer, I think it is worth a shot, depending on your GPA and ECs.

GPA 4.00 and DAT 22+ will put you in game without bachelor. GL

I was wondering this as well. My main fear would be not getting into my dream school and having to settle for some other school because I didnt have the bachelors. But then again, you'd be starting dental school probably a year early.

you think a 3.8-3.9 with a 23-24 DAT and VERY GOOD EC's would put you in the game for the BEST schools?

Without a DAT what exactly is it that you are bringing to the table?

Actually Howard does.

Maybe not quite that high but it does require a level of maturity that is harder to find.

Don't most people (who apply the first time) finish their bachelor's degree the semester just before DS?
OP, are you taking about getting accepted with 90 credits? If so, then not many students get in this way. You should look at the AADSAS book for statistics on this. But if I remember right I think I saw anywhere from 0-4 students with 90 credits completed getting accepted for each school.
Oh and what school are you taking about...

I have a friend that got into UNLV this year without his degree. I think his stats were in the neighborhood of 3.5 w/ a 20 on the DAT.

Are talking about applying after your second year, and attending d school instead of senior year? I was thinking about doing this too.. At this point, I'm assuming that it all comes down to my DAT. I have most of everything else in place. I think it's worth it to give it a shot. Worst case, you'll always have next year to apply again.

A.T. Still? The D.O. Medical School in Kirksville, Missouri? ...are you sure you're in the right forum?

ASDOH is AT Stills. Mesa campus in Arizona. I wouldn't accidentally apply to medical school, lol.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking about doing. I guess it wouldn't hurt. Hmmmm....

only website i've checked is pittsburgh, which says they'll consider you for admission if you've completed 90 credits, have a 4.0, and 24+ on the DAT. if you are in this ballpark, you might be able to get in after 3 years. who knows how dramatically this might change for someone who's completed 120 credits but is a couple classes short of a degree.
