I took my DATS in August, but will retake them in November. Following my first DAT, I wrote each school a letter saying that I was going to retake the test in Nov.
My AADSAS was sent out to the schools on Tuesday. Back in JUly when I submitted, I only checked off that I had a future test in August. (nothing was mentioned about my Nov DAT).
Well, now I have poor DAT scores and I am wondering if I should call each individual school and tell them I will be retaking, or if the letter I submitted to each school regarding my future plans are sufficient? I am very worried because without any future DAT scores, my hopes of getting an interview are pretty much gone...

I don't see why the letter you've already mailed wouldn't be sufficient. I believe it will be in your file and the adcoms will take it into consideration when viewing your application.

Or if you want to call, it would be better to call and directly speak with the admissions director. Usually the letter you send might not be read by the adcom immediately. That way, when you call you can illustrate your interest and see how you application is looking to them. Granted, you might not feel comfortable with it right now, but you might be surprised what the director might have to say. I think it is worth a shot.

Honestly, so much is at stake here, I know I wouldn't be able to rest until I had personally called the admissions people at the schools where I was applying to.
