Should I do a second pass of UWORLD?

Hello everyone,

I am a DO student who is using my spring break to get through UWORLD. I think its a great Qbank and I feel that I am learning a lot from it. I plan on finishing by the first week of May. Do you guys think it will be worth it to do a second pass or should I utilize another question bank? I have access to USMLE Rx and Truelearn.

I plan on taking a Uworld assessment after I am finished with my first pass and a second assessment in June. I am only taking the COMLEX and will switch to combank three weeks before my exam so I can master the OMM questions.

Not really... here are some good reasons to do UWorld over again:
1. You already have the subscription
2. You will be surprised how many of the questions you swear you have never seen before (there is ca. 2200 of them), but if you studied UWorld properly the first time through, the scores should be better because you know the concepts/major points. Remembering specific questions has very little to do with it.
3. The explanations are absolutely fantastic and any kind of repetition can't hurt (e.g. are you only reading FA once?)
4. Going off #3, there is no way that you can absorb 100% of the information in such a high yield and large resource such as UWorld no matter how many times you go over it, but that % will increase if you redo UWorld.
Etc.
But those are just my opinions. To each his own, I guess.

The point is to master the concepts, not memorize answers. If you can master the concepts from 2200+ questions in one pass then more power to you but for most people this is not the case.
