Should I do a thesis or non-thesis master’s program prior to apply to dental school?
would a thesis master’s program make me a competitive applicant for dental school?

Doesn’t matter as long as you get A’s.

Whatever you do will be fine as long as you do well. You could be a quadruple major with a 2.0 average and not even get interviews.

If it's to get into Dental, agree with the above. If trying to go for a DDS/PhD, then the thesis option.

If your GPA is subpar, I would recommend a post-baccalaureate program and not a master's program.

Is your GPA is good, then a master's program shouldn't be necessary.
