Should I email my instate DO school and let them know I really want to go there?

Hello, I am wondering if it is a bad idea to email my in state DO school director of admissions and ask if there is anything I can do to increase my chances at acceptance to their university? I am applying broadly due to low-stats, but I would love to go to this school.

Any advice is welcome, thanks!

If you are applying this year, I think it would be of little use. I am not sure what they can tell you when the new cycle is here already.

It would be worth while if you can say in your email "My family will donate a building on campus."
