Should I even apply?

State of Residence: Cali

Undergrad Attended:
UC Berkeley
Major: Molecular and Cellular Biology
Minor: Nutritional Science.
Minority? No, i do come from the ghetto tho.
Reapplicant? No
Nontrad? no

Shadowing Experience: ~
200 hours of shadowing general, perio, endo, and oral surgery.
Volunteering Experience: ~200 hours at dental clinic
Employment: Lab assistant for like 3 years
Research: No pubs but did research for like 50 hours.
Other Extracurriculars: Private Bio and Chem tutor, Interpreter, dance, others.
Relevant Honors or Awards: naw
LOR type and strength: I havent asked yet, but I think i can get solid LOR.

Should I even apply this cycle? I took my DAT yesterday and I wonder if that's enough to cover my low GPA.
 
Your DAT and extracurriculars are strong, but that GPA isn’t competitive enough. Maybe do another year of undergrad/post bacc?
 
if your PS and LORs are not perfect and ready to send in immediately, then no
get all A's and apply next cycle on the first day and apply widely and wisely
 
I would hold off this cycle as it is a little late. Have you considered taking classes as a none-degree seeking student to slightly boost your gpa. I would take a few classes in the spring and apply very early next cycle.
