Should I even bother doing secondaries for schools that give preferences to URMs?

I applied to schools like Howard, Morehouse without properly researching them besides just looking at statistics for MCAT/GPA (my mistake, i know).

I have average stats (~3.5/30).....and I'm South Asian. :/ lmfao

Should I bother doing the secondaries for these schools and spending money?

do you fit their mission statement? they're don't only accept URMs lol

if you dont fit their mission, only if you want to give a donation.

Applying to those schools is a waste of money. Focus elsewhere.

They don't only accept URMs, but most of em are, and I don't want that kind of disadvantaged, not to mention I'm out of state. and how serious do they take thier mission statement? Can one hypothetically just state "Oh i want to serve in an underserved community" ?In fact wouldn't all applicants attempt to fit into a school's mission statement just to get accepted?

People who actually want to serve underserved communities have ECs to back up their words.

If you can demonstrate years of dedicated, substantial service to those in need, you will fit their mission statement. Saying you want to help or intend to serve won't get you anywhere. You need to show it.

Thanks, that helps a lot. Yeah I'll make sure my ECs correlate to a school's mission statement as well. I regret not doing my research for each schoollol
