My parents offered to pay for my first two years of dental school (which I am super thankful for). Should I still file FAFSA right now or should I wait until my third year of dental school when I need to take out loans to file FAFSA?

And for the parental information section, does the parent’s assets affect the amount of loans and scholarships we get?

A couple of schools I interviewed at required FAFSA to be filled out in order to be considered for scholarships, so even though you aren’t taking loans, I’d fill it out. As for your eligibility for scholarships, it definitely depends on the school/specific scholarship. Some are designated as merit scholarships, while others are need-based. In the case of need-based scholarships, I believe your parents assets will be considered.
