Hi everyone,
I am a 22yo med student in Paris, France, and i feel the need to share some of my worries on what what i should do in the future
I don't know if you guys are familiar with medical studies in France but next year in june 2018 I'll pass a national exam called the ECN and depending on how well I do at this exam, I'll choose my medical specialty
For the last 2 years, my dream has been to become a radiologist, but whenever I tell this to people they always say that radiology has no future, AI will make radiologists more or less useless, other specialties will take the work, incomes will fall, and jobs won't be secure.
So I'm really in a bad position right now, my dream is not as appealing as it used to be, but i can't see myself doing anything else
What do you think?
In the case I still pursue a career as a radiologist, what kind of extra skills would be desirable?
I heard that skills in computer science, and data management would be nice, but i have no idea...
