I am applying soon and sadly all of my BCP professors do NOT speak perfect english. However, I took 1 year of physics with this one professor and 2 years of chemistry with another professor so I am pretty sure they are familiar with my work ethic.

I would guess that most in academia understand that English is a second language for many. If you think they know you best, I say ask them. Personally, I'd rather have a less polished essay with good content than a well-polished essay lacking content.

i bet you they will use a template anyway ;-). "hmmmm the average template, the good template, or the excellent template" ;-)

I agree. They don't necessarily write their own letter; most of them, indeed, use templates.

One more thing you need to keep in mind is that sometime, even though teachers don't speak perfect English, their written English could be much better than average. You never know! They may have learned the theory of writing in English even more than those who goes to high school in the states (no offense whatsoever).

So yes..., go on!

Are they professors, associate professors, assistant professors, lecturers or post docs?

Sorry but I don't understand the difference
