should i get a LOR from my internship?

i'm interning at a pharmaceutical company while taking summer classes this summer. i got a C in bio lab fall semester, so i was wondering if it would be good to get a recommendation from my internship. i work in the chem labs right now, but once my microbiology class is finished, i will still have 6 weeks to work in the microbiology labs also. i'm asking now because although i'm not applying for a while, i don't know that they would remember me (unless i go back next summer, but i'm not sure what i'm doing yet). if yes, who should i get to sign it? technically i'm in the research and development area (formulation and analytical), so i could probably get the VP of R & D to write it, but if i want the microbio department's input, should i ask them to write one together?

i decided myself. i'm doing some pretty awesome stuff and the head of microbio said she'll take me on once my class is done. i'm definitely going to ask for a letter.
