Hi everyone,

I have a BS degree in business. My gpa at undergrad is about 3.0 (I got a few Ws and repeated 2 classes in my freshman year). After that most of my grades were Bs and As (some Cs in between).

I recently took all science courses and earn gpa of 3.45. I plan to take DAT this summer but have doubts in my gpa. I am afraid that they would look at my grades and toss my application. Should I take more classes to improve my GPA or should I just study for the DAT and submit my application. I am very nervous and confused. Please help! Thanks.

dental schools like to see improvement over time so you should be good... just make sure you do well on the DAT.

My undergrad gpa is a 3.0, and I have many w's and an F. Just kill the DAT and apply early with good letters, ec's, shadow hours, and volunteer (be the organizer) You should be golden

Try?!?

DO or DO NOT!

lol

If it's what you really want to do then your current grades do no look like they will hurt you. Get great DAT scores and those grades should hold you.

Thank you DMD2011, Kappa505 and 1992Corolla!!!

I really appreciate your advice. The reason I am nervous because AADSAS calculates gpa to include the repeated courses. Which would definitely pull down my gpa to even lower (I don't know how much lower though).

Good luck to you all!
