I wasn't published for the research I worked on in a lab, but a paper that's out used figures I created and my name is written in acknowledgements.

Not worth mentioning? Or should I mention it?

Since you did research, I assume that you will have "research" as one of your activities for the AMCAS.

I would mention it as a part of the description for that activity.
