Looking for any advice that I can get:

I've done some searching through the threads and haven't come to a firm conclusion about listing my leadership experience as a the editor-in-chief of my HS yearbook on my app. I've read that most people say not to include anything that you finished pre-college, so i'm probably NOT going to include this as a leadership experience, but this was a very important learning experience in my life. I pretty much spent 3 1/2 years on the staff and demonstrated a good deal of leadership in many different roles. Should I work this into my PS or would anyone recommend that I do include it as a an activity, or not include it at all?

Unless the HS activity has carried through college, you should NOT list it

^ Maybe you can intertwine it into a personal statement or secondary application essay? Med school wants to know what you've done in college that makes you eligible to get into medical school, not what you did in high school to get into college. The only caveat to that is if you started something in high school and still stick with it in college (the same organization or group, that is)...

+1, you could always tie it into your application as I started volunteering here in high school and it led to me doing this in college.

I put something in my app that I did all 4 years of high school and it was brought up at interviews and I answered a few questions about it. None of the interviewers ever remarked about it being during high school and all seemed to view it as a positive. I think many things can show a pattern of hardwork and compassion in an applicant that isn't just because you wanted to get into med school.
