I was accepted to instate school 🙂 but i amd 24 years old and i live in an apartment with my mom. the walls are closing in on me at times but she helps me out alot as well. at my school i will accumulate close to 200,000$ in debt for tuition. is it a bad idea to gain about 60,000$ extra in debt to get my own apartment.???? i dont know if i can live with my mom in a tight space til im 29 years old!!! plus my boyfriend coming over is iritating her lol!! what should i do???? advice please. save the money or it wont be that much more debt??

In all honesty, I wouldn't. Get out and enjoy your time in dental school. I'm sure your mom wouldn't mind getting you out of the apartment either. 😀

If you can get in on an apartment with one or more people, you'll save money too (split internet, utilities, rent, etc). Maybe you could live your first year at home and then once you make some friends in your class, you can live with them for the other years (sometimes going in blind turns out badly).. But I would eventually "spread your wings and fly" 🙂

Your bf could pay for part, if he is a major part of the decision.

better idea: save even MORE money and just forget the apartment - rent an RV with your mom and your boyfriend. that way your mom doesn't get annoyed with your bf coming and going all the time... i hate it when people slam the door at odd hours of the morning too

I think you should move out and experience living on your own, especially if you never have.

Also, do you think you might have overestimated your overall debt?
