Hey everyone! I'm in a bit of a dilemma. Half of the schools I emailed said the developmental psych I took in college focused too much on child psych and not enough adult psych. The other half said that I should retake it, as it doesn't cover the lifespan.

So I am going to retake lifespan psych to fulfill the developmental/lifespan psych prerequisite.

BUT I'm not sure if I should mark it as a repeat! They are different to half the schools, and the same to another half! I don't want to because I believe I can do better in the lifespan psych class...but will that be dishonest?

Thanks everyone!

Hi! So others may disagree, but to me, repeating a class means taking the EXACT same class again. So as long as the course titles and numbers are different, that’s not repeating a class since they are 2 different classes. Hope this helps!

I agree. A repeated class is the same course (that you failed) taken again at the same college.

In OTCAS, under each program, you will input the classes you want to fulfill the prerequisite courses. So you can use developmental psych for some schools and lifespan development psych for the others.
