Ok, I applied first batch with a DAT score that I took last year (19AA/TS with nothing below 17). I applied to 20 schools and currently have 4 interviews (all pre-december). What I am confused about is that all the schools that gave me interviews have average dat score of around 20. My GPA is great (3.9) but I am worried because my DAT is below their average.

what do you think?

I would personally say no you don't have to retake it because your GPA is so high. 19 is not a bad score and especially not bad when given your GPA. Plus, you already have 4 interviews. I think you're stressing too much - you'll be absolutely fine! 😛

Already 4 interviews! That means the Adcoms saw something in your app that is more appealing than people with 30 DAT and 4.3 GPA. So I wouldn't worry about it. I have slightly higher GPA and DAT and only sitting on one interview so far.

I took the DAT last year and got an 18, retook it for this cycle and got a 17. I know I can do better so I decided to take it a third time coming up at the end of September. Im hoping that the new score will improve enough to compensate for my other two bad ones. My overall gpa is 3.45. I have over 1000 hrs shadowing/working experience and work for Clinitians Report now. Any advice?:scared:😕

My advice is study your ass off lol. You retook the test and got a lower score, you're supposed to have an upward trend, not a downward trend 😛

Live and breath studying the DAT. You can only take it four times total, and even retaking it once or twice is sketchy, especially if you don't greatly improve.

You should have stuck with the 18AA. I have an 18AA with a gpa close to yours and I have 4 interview invites
