Should I re-take MCAT

Got my MCAT results. 😱 Disappointed by a 29. Low was a 8 on PS. Didn't prepare like I should have. My GPA is 3.9 and rest of my application is strong. I am a California resident.🙁 Should I re-take MCAT? I am doing 10 hours a day of research but I could study and take in late August. Thanks for replys.

What was the breakdown of the rest? apply this year no matter what. I got a 29 too, I'm retaking and I'm not even a California resident. If you're applying to D.O schools you would be fine but getting accepted to M.D schools in Cali itself with a 29 might be rough.....Your GPA is excellent though what about your ECs and LORs? You probably have a very good chance at M.D schools if you apply broadly. I would say hold off on the retake this year.....
