Hello guys, this is my first time posting here. I am stuck in a dilemma and I hope you guys can help me.

I took my PCAT in July and received an unofficial score of 80. I want to go to the University of Kentucky for pharmacy school (which is very competitive), but my GPA is only a 3.339. Should I retake the PCAT or just leave it as it is? I am applying for this upcoming cycle and will submit my Pharmcas application for early decision within the next week or so.

Thank You for your help.

Thank You for your help.

What are your subsection scores?

A comp score of 80 is pretty good and competitive. What classes did you receive your lowest grades in? If your PCAT is high in areas of your classwork that may be lower I wouldn't retake it. If you made C's in chem classes and scored a comp of 40 on the PCAT in chem then I would consider retaking it. I would say a GPA like yours and a PCAT of 80 isn't all that bad though when looking at raw numbers.

I don't have the paper with me but it was something like

Verbal - 51
Reading - 56
Math - 77
Biology - 71
Chemistry - 96

My scores were low for verbal and reading because English is not my first language and I moved to America when I was 8.

I received a C in Biology but I am going to re-take it this semester.
I also received a D in Chemlab but I re-took that and got an A.

I received either A or B in all the other pharmacy classes I took.
