Should I retake DAT, Plzzzzz reply early...

I applied late in Oct.but my application went in Nov. My aadsas gpa is as follows: BCP-3.64, science-3.67, non-science-3.30,cummulative-3.55
DATs are
PAT-15
RC-17
QR-18
Bio-19
gchem-21
ochem-22
ts-20
aa-19.

So far, i had one interview last week at NY, but my interview went bad...i was stuck w/ psychologist..he picked up my one "D" in english and kept going. He also asked me whether I am going to retake DAT bcz of my low reading scores...I said him so far I didn't think about it bcz i still had to take finals after coming from interview...i finished my finals on Monday, now chilling out at home...
I don't have any chances of getting acceptance at NY...I m thinking about retaking dat, but didn't study sofar. I just have only one week to study, then after that, my school starts again...i already filled out dat application..my friends are suggesting me to retake it w/out studying bcz they were saying that I didn't manage time in the last dat, i couldn't finish most of the sections...for RC, i left some questions blank and even for math, i left 5 questions blank..I don't know what should i do?
Isn't it too late for retake dat, r schools are going to look at it? Also i looked at sdn, there are many students who did worse than the first one. besides, i don't have time to study...
I don't know what should i do? any suggestions would be appreciated...

For this cycle, it's probably too late to make a difference. I would prepare, study properly, and plan on retaking it for next year's cycle. This way, if you get in this year you don't need to worry about it, but if you DON'T then you won't be screwing yourself for next year by having two sets of poor scores.

And yes, I would retake. RC is a little low but the 15 on PA? Come on, you can do better than that... just prepare accordingly.

NOONE should be trying to retake the test at this point in the year. Retake only in May/June. This goes for everyone out there!

And as for the OP, you did fine on the sciences. It's your math and rc that needs practice. (Practice, not studying) ...and in the mean time, work on PAT a bit too. 🙂

its too late buddy to retake it for this term, your still in college i presume so its not that bad if u take it after this semester finishes then apply in may or april but you need a better PAT score and a better RC. your gpa is killer so all u need is research experience and you'll be choosing what school u want not dying for some school to accept u.

Congratulations on your interview...sorry it went bad. Your science scores are very competitive. There will be several schools that will offer you an interview invite soley based on those. As long as your EC's are good, you will be fine. I wouldn't retake for this cycle. Just hold out and plan on interviewing over the next couple of months.

Anticipate taking a year. Take time this winter break to find a job or take classes or something cool to do for a year, and take the time to study for the DAT. Try to bring all of your numbers above 20, if possible, and apply early next year to be in the best position. I would say it's not worth pursuing for this academic year. And perhaps a year off might be a blessing in disguise - a much need break. Good luck with whatever you decide!

Have you applied to other schools? Heard back from other schools? Where do you stand elsewhere? Unless you have time to put into studying - it's probably not worth retaking at this point, unless you've drastically changed your test taking strategy.
