Hi SDN,

I took my DAT not too long ago, and scored a 19AA/19TS/18BIO/19GC/22OC/19PAT/18RC/19QR.

I really want to get into my state school in Texas, and was wondering if I should retake, and if so, when should I take it? TMDSAS wants a specific date, and I don't want to put a date down, and when the day comes I'm not ready. Please let me know. Thanks! I will be studying all summer, and during the school year as well if needed.

Do you have a great GPA? If you have a 3.8+, with good ECs, then you shouldn't be too worried, but a good retake would then almost guarantee you acceptance into a texas school.

If your GPA isn't above average, I would suggest retaking. What do you think you can do better with your preparation this time around?

Those scores aren't actually that bad, I think they are kind of close to the TX school averages, what is your GPA?

If you do decide to retake the test, TMDSAS just wants the date that you sign up for. You can change the date after you submit the app. Once you register for the test, go enter in the date into your app.

Aw I see. Well that helps. I will put down the end of September for now. My GPA is actually below average, but I do have a lot of EC. I have a 3.408 oGPA, ~3.2 BCP GPA and sGPA.

Thank you. I am applying right now, and I actually just submitted my application lol. TMDSAS calculated my oGPA to 3.41, and sGPA to 3.26.
