Just to give a quick background, I am a graduating Biochemistry major in NY (SPRING 2015), with a 3.959 cGPA, every essential extracurricular ( clinical volunteer, research, shadowing, retail job). I have taken the MCAT twice, once in July of last year ( 29 (10/8/11)), and once on 1/15/15 ( 30 (11/7/12)). I can't understand why my verbal is so poor on test days, but on practice tests, I never score less then a 9 on the verbal reasoning. Being worried about being screened out because of the 7, I have called a few MD schools, the consensus was that a third MCAT wouldn't be counted against me because of the format change. Being only 21, taking a year to properly prepare to take the new MCAT is not a detrimental decision, but I wanted to get some opinions on the potential decision, thanks.
