Hey everyone,

I'm fairly new to SDN and I would love to have some advice. This will mark my second year applying to Dental School. Last year I had A DAT score of AA:18 TS:18 PAT:23 and oGPA:3.55 and sGPA: 3.20. I only received one interview from Colorado, but I believe I only received it because I'm in-state.

This year, I retook the DAT and brought my scores to AA:21 TS:20 PAT:23. I have 100+ Shadowing, 500+Volunteering, and I've been working since I was 14 so I have 10000+ hours of work experience.

My main question to everyone is if I should retake my Orgo classes. I received two "C+" in both Orgo I and II. As you can see it brought my sGPA a little below average. Are those C's killing my chances? Any advice would be helpful.

You did not receive an interview because you are a resident; maybe they just liked your stats.

If you are 100% sure you can get an A the second time around, then go for it. Personally I wouldnt. Your DAT scores says you've got a pretty good foundation in Orgo.

personally I wouldn't. Your GPA seems to be good enough. It will be waste of a year and money for a tiny change in GPA.

Awesome, thank you Thetoothhurts91 and KineticFlow603. I wasn't 100% sure. 😀

If you can score that high on the DAT you can make an A in orgo.

How do you work since 14? I thought most legal age was 16.
