I would have to disagree with the above posts. Although your QR is not up to par. The rest of your scores are great! I agree with you that a lot of schools put QR as the last priority...just do your research and find the schools that do not have 17 cutoffs and apply there. It is better to apply now with your current scores than to retake and not be able to apply until WAY late...I have seen numerous people get in with scores worse than yours! Good luck!

Pretty much exactly what I was thinking, Thank you. And yeah I was looking around and saw as low as 14 QR accepted.
How's the GPA? If you're at 3.5 or above, you're an average/above average candidate and I'd only consider retaking if you get few/no interviews or schools ask you to. I'd also call the schools and ask them about the 16 as well. It's math, one of the least important aspects of your application.
I would apply, but still plan on taking it again. Based on personal experience with very similar DAT scores (19AA 19TS), I would think you could get an in state interview at least. A 16 is under that "cut off" everyone talks about, so it's getting in to rough waters no matter which section it is. Just food for thought.

GPA is over 3.5, Science is near a 3.6 and i'm applying to both my in state schools, NYU and a couple others. Pretty sure most i've looked at have a cutoff of 15, not sure about NYU though.
Definitely apply, other scores are great. I am taking DAT a 4th time my last QR was a 14! I can't seem to break an 18AA, anyways what are you going to do differently for QR next time around if you do take. And what did you do to prepare for the first time? I'm doing the DAT bootcamp to help with my gen chem and math, I need work in those two

Chad's videos for GC/OC/QR
DAT destroyer + math destroyer, didn't get to finish math though...
Topscore, datqvault for practice questions
Honestly I didn't think the QR section was hard at all, I pretty much was able to get an answer for everything. I'm thinking I made some stupid mistakes because I went in with no sleep and signed up for a 9 am test (definitely would take it later next time around).
19 AA
19 TS
22 GC
18 OC
19 BIO
21 PA
20 RC
16 QR >.<
Let me know what you guy's think!
don't retake. 90% of sdn people think that anything below a 22AA isn't up to par. Don't listen to these gunners
FYI, I have 19aa/ts with a 17 in RC and I have already submitted my application.
