Should I send my supplemental app in at the same time as my OTCAS app or ASAP?

Hey, I was wondering if I should send things in as I complete them or wait until I have it all ready to send in.

For instance, should I send in the supplemental app as soon as possible or should I wait until my OTCAS app is nearly completed? Should I just send my transcripts in asap, or should I wait until I fill out the schools application.

I was just wondering if this mattered.

Make sure that the supplemental application doesn't require an invite. About half of the schools I applied to invited me to fill out a supplemental application. Two other schools didn't require an invite.

Other than that, I don't think order matters, as long as you verify that your application is complete, and that the program has all the requested materials. And, if you think about it, delaying your secondary application may potentially delay the application process. You want your application to be complete ASAP, so you can receive timely consideration.

I would let your school send the transcripts directly to the program that you are applying to. I believe it is considered official when your school sends it. The same applies to letters of recommendation; have the recommenders send it directly.

Lastly, I would (1) strictly follow the directions that the program gives (i.e., take my opinion at face value), and (2) call admissions directors and ask them these types of questions over the phone. Believe it or not, calling admissions directors is a way to establish some rapport, as long as you present yourself and sound professional and enthusiastic over the phone.
