I emailed Western yesterday (before the invites-didn't get one-were sent out) and asked if it would be beneficial to my current application if I sent in updated animal/veterinary experience and volunteer activities (stuff I have been doing since October). The official response was:

"You can also send in updates to add to your file. Please forward to me the information and I will place into your file for so the committee can see your accomplishments!"

So the question to y'all is: Is this just kind of condescending/snarky, since it appears that the decisions are made? Should I send my stuff in anyway? Was this a bad idea in general?

The reason why I asked them was because when I had my file review last year, one of the two things that they felt needed improvement was "depth and breadth of animal experience".

Any thoughts...much appreciated...

Definitely send it in. I dont think they've made all their decisions yet (don't they have two different interview periods with some time in between?... i'd assume they are sending some invites later). Plus... even if they have already reviewed your file, showing them further experiences is definitely not going to hurt you.

send it in! i didn't read it as condescending. if they didn't want more paper, they seriously would have said don't send it or the decisions have already been made. hope it helps you! 😀

It does, thanks! I just have a hard time picking up tone from email, etc. Feeling a little underconfident right now, with the rejections...🙁 but hoping it will turn around :luck:

I too would send it in, especially if it is signifigant... what do you have to loose. If it was before the interviews were sent out, and you managed to log an extra 40 hours of experience, i would say don't bother. But if you think it will add to your application, then go for it. Perhaps it will 'bump' your application to the top of the pile for reevaluation later, perhaps not - but I don't see how it could hurt.

Good luck

I agree - send it in! Weirder things have happened - like people getting in off the rejection list (LVT2DVM)!
