Did anyone of you called schools for an update? I'm just so eager; also my application has been "in review" for more than 2 months now.

ah! i'm in the same boat...i'm so worried they don't have all of my applicatioin complete or something! i've gotten 1 interview from my home state so far...but haven't heard anything from anywhere else...

ahhhhhhhhhhh

Hold on! this is not a sprint...it is a marathon. Even thought you probably applied in May, interviews have just started and depending on where you applied they may not have even reviewed your app. Start calling in January. I know it is tempting, but you could annoy certain people in the admin. office...it's just too early. Also most schools will not give you any updates over the phone. Interviews go until March for most schools...so cross your fingers, run to the mailbox, and hold your breath (but not for too long). Don't get discouraged all the reject letters typically come first (except from BU I got one in the middle of Sept. good thing I was already in Dental school:laugh:) Keep high spirits and GOOD LUCK!

I also got 1 rejection, 1 interview so far. I guess I can't complain cuz I have at least gotten one.

Thanx. I agree. I don't want to annoy the adcoms. I'll just have to sit tight and wait. A rejection letter from BU that early...

I think zebra means that the rejection letter came after he/she already started dental school. Probably for the 2008 cycle.

Be aware that some schools tell us NOT to call them for status update.
They either say that in their website or when you call them.

Not calling them >>>> calling them

The only reason you should ever call is ONCE to make sure that your application is complete. The only time you would call more than once is if there is something wrong with your application and you're trying to clear it up.

They're going as fast as they can. If they had something to tell you, they would have told you...

i had to call unlv because i noticed that they did not process my application fee... turns out, they were missing a LOR somehow, but were nice enough to print it on the spot and then fwd. my complete application to the admissions committee.

oh well, hopefully the extra time in limbo didn't hurt me too much, but if you notice odd things like that, you might want to call?
