Hi Sdn, I am an incoming osteopathic medical student and was wondering if studying more on the usmle and a sprinkle of some omm/comlex would be sufficient to be competitive and pass the comlex?

The study plan I've heard the most is something called UFAP (UWorld, First Aid, Pathoma) to study for the USMLE. This is usually a dedicated study plan during the vicinity of your USMLE test administration date.

From there, people schedule their COMLEX 1-2 weeks out past their USMLE test date and use Savarese and Comlex QBank.

Yes. If you put in effort during the first 2 years in OMM, using USMLE geared resources is best because, like everything else, they are of higher quality. The material is identical except for adding on OMM questions, which are soft balls if you're prepared.

Although I scored a higher percentile on COMLEX, it felt like a more difficult test than the USMLE while taking it. This likely had a lot to do with the impressively poor quality of the exam.

COMLEX is a joke compared to USMLE, you should study for USMLE and take both USMLE and COMLEX.
