Hello Everyone,

I am a current post-bachelor student (informal) and I have been taking post-bachelor classes and been doing well in them. I have been receiving all A's up until this semester and right now I have 3 A's and a C or D in a Developmental Biology course. I was going to take a W and withdraw from the course just do that it doesn't damage all of the post-bachelor work I have done so far but now after contacting the professor it is a WF that will be recorded rather than a simple W. Now I am lost as to whether I should take a WF or try to finish out the course and raise my grade. There are 2 exams left. The material is EXTREMELY boring and irrelevant. When I registered for the course I assumed it was a course similar to embryology but instead it is about spiders, frogs, mice, etc. Any advice is appreciated.

Thanks!

No a WF = F on Aadsas, getting a D is even better then a WF

Thanks for your reply. Do you think this bad grade will severely damage how they view my other post-bacc classes?

Any grade below a B is a red flag...just do the best you can! Your overall GPA's are what's most important for matriculation.

Time to get 100 percents on those next exams..

I can *technically* still pull a B in the course according to the professor "if you do not miss another question on the quizzes and exams, the highest that you can get is an 84" but i'm not sure how realistic that is, meaning not missing any question on an exam

Then a B is totally doable. You got this.

lol sounds like the course I took last semester and ended up as the only A- for the year...Material is boring and you need to memorize these latin names for animals and bones etc. But it's doable if you memorize all the stuff on the slides, just try your best, you may still get a B or C.

thanks for the encouragement guys! I also emailed him to see if he could help me out and raise my grade to passing so that I can drop with a WP but I'm pretty sure that is a futile attempt and he will likely say no

There is such thing as a WF? Wow this is the 1st time I heard it man. I am doing the same thing, well informal post bacc. I think this class is pretty interesting. I remember while back when I took a Biochem class called Protein as I did not know what I am up against. Ended up dropping it within the last day of deadline and receive a W. Anyway, looks like the only way out now is to try hard. Come to his office, express your interest in learning the material. He might give you hints or what not. GL man

What do you believe your grade would have been if you had dropped the course after the deadline.A
