this might be a stupid question but

should i take college algebra class ?

I am a junior now and already took Pre-calc, Stats, Calc I and got good grades in those

i heard college algebra counts as science gpa so should i take it to boost my gpa or will it look silly for the dental school committee that i am taking a easy class to boost gpa ? or will they not care ?

This is a tough question to answer, but I'm going to guess that it would be silly to take this class since you've taken calc already. They will notice it and ask you, just be prepared with a good answer.

 I've seen a lot of things, but this is ridiculous. Yes, they will ask you about this and they'll basically know why you're taking it.

Why not take a legitimate class and prove you can handle a tough course?

Take linear algebra 🙂

I say go for it. If they ask about it, just say you wanted to brush up your math skills for the DAT.

Assuming that you will be graduating with 120 credit hours, the impact of an "A" in algebra is negligible. Calculate your science GPA with an "A" in algebra and without an "A". It won't impact your overall GPA by 0.03. The impact on your science GPA depends on the number of science hours you have but probably won't impact it by more that 0.05. Probably not enough to offset the negative impression of taking alegebra to boost your GPA vs taking a more challenging/interesting course to satisfy your intellectual curiosity.
