During the Spring 2012 semester, I was studying for the MCAT, and as a result, I fell behind in 2 upper division biology courses (1 on programming systems biology and 1 on the physics and chemistry of oceans). I decided taking it p/np was the best choice for me. They were 4 units each, so I ended up with 10 p/np units that semester (the extra 2 p/p units came from an internship).

I recently graduated on May 2013, and between the Spring 2012 semester and my graduation, I have only taken 1 other upper division biology course (got a B in biochemistry). I was wondering if I should take 2 other upper division biology courses (maybe 1 on genetics and 1 on physiology) at my (former) school in the summer as a way to make up for those p/np classes??

These are some of my stats.
Male, CA Resident, Asian
Applying DO only for the 2013-2014 cycle.
Major: Psychology
Minor: Music
cGPA: 3.70
sGPA: 3.41
MCAT: 28Q (9 PS, 10 VR, 9 BS)

I personally think you're solid. Take them if you cannot contain your love for the sciences.

This is competitive for both MD and DO
