I'm about to register for summer classes and wanted to know if that is a smart idea. I'll be taking chemistry 2 and physics 1 during the summer and it's 7-8 weeks long for both. I am not that good in math but it will be algebra based physics so should I be worried? I'll probably only work 1-2 days a week during the summer and that's it. So would you advise doing it or not?

If you can do it, do it. But be warm, summer classes go at a very fast pace, so if you're lost, get a tutor fast.

I would regularly take 6-7 credits or so per 7-8 week session during the summer when I was in college (all science classes). I see no reason you couldn't do the same with general chemistry II and physics I.

You're fine

Just clarifying their both 7-8 weeks but at the same time. You still think that is fine right?

Yep. Just be dedicated to them and utilize all available resources if you're struggling (i.e. prof's office hours, tutors, Khan Academy etc.)

I can't speak for him, but my opinion is the same. Just make sure that you have enough time to do any homework on the days that you work. An ideal arrangement would be that if your job occurred on the weekend, but it is definitely doable either way, or at least it would have been at my school. As I said, whenever I took summer courses (which I often did because my university offered courses that were not offered during the academic year), I would regularly take two of them at a time.

Chem 2 and physics in the summer is doable. How many hours do you intend on working?

I mean I can decide how much I work so I was thinking 2 days which are 7 hour shifts. If that seems like to much w/ my summer classes I'll drop it down to one day a week or just quit haha. I just work twice a week because I tend to eat out a lot but I can stop if I have to.
