So my predicament is this, I'm taking the Canadian DAT on November 1st and not really ready for it in the first place but now I've come down with an infection that has made my joints and fingers swell. So I don't know if I should take the test when I'm this uncomfortable and highly allergic.
The problem with the Can DAT is that it's nonrefundable or transferable, so that's $200ish down the drain. If I do take it, then it could be a sort of practice for me for next time. In Canada they don't really care if you've taken it 2 or 3 times, they either look at the most recent or the highest mark.
But I'm not sure how this will look if I want to apply for the American schools if my first DAT attempt is pretty low. I can get a doctor's note right now to say the condition I was in when taking it if asked why.
Any advice would be appreciated.
PS. Can DAT can't be voided after the fact either.
