Title pretty much says it all. FWIW, my DO writer said she didn't write "osteopathic" anywhere in the letter except when referring to herself as an osteopathic physician.
Since MD schools won't care about the letters after her name, there's no reason not to use her LOR for this purpose.Should I use a DO LOR for the few MD schools requiring a clinical letter?

Schools know that students might apply to DO schools. They also know that sometimes people shadow DOs. It doesn't sound like a big deal at all. This might be a silly question, but MD schools won't be turned off in any way if they see the letter and figure out that I'm applying DO as well?
No. A clinical letter, is a clinical letter, is a clinical letter, . . .but MD schools won't be turned off in any way if they see the letter and figure out that I'm applying DO as well?
