I have three letters of recommendation so far, but I'm not sure if I should use any of these for the upcoming application cycle. I got A's in all of the professors' classes, and I made regular office hour visits. But I am not close with any of them, so I'm not sure what dental schools expect from these letters.
1. Stellar page long letter from a non-science professor that I also was a teaching assistant for. I've known this professor the longest, since I was chosen to be a teaching assistant for the same class I took.
2. Only a one paragraph long letter basically stating I did well in the rigorous science class and would be prepared for dental school.
3. Unknown letter, since I waived my access to the letter and the professor won't let me see it either, but the professor has written letters for other pre-health students before who have been accepted to professional schools.
The first one is by far the best letter, but it isn't from a science professor. The other two are from upper division science professors, but the second one, I was able to get a copy of and it is only one paragraph long. The third one I'm not allowed to look at at all, so that one is a gamble. I'm grateful that these professors took the time to write these letters for me, but will they be acceptable by the dental schools' standards?
