So I retook my MCAT. I got a 508 last year and retook my MCAT last week on the 31st. I feel good and was getting around 513 on practice. I already submitted my primary to one school to get approved on AMCAS. Problem is my MCAT score gets released on July 1st. Is it worth it waiting to submit the rest of my schools until July 1st so that every school sees my most recent MCAT score when they first see my application or does it not matter and schools understand that I have an outstanding MCAT? I did indicate on my application that I have a pending MCAT score. I was thinking of sending a couple of my safety schools in before June 27th and waiting for the higher MCAT schools until I see my score.

would you still submit if you got the same score or slightly lower? if yes, i'd say send it in. maybe some schools won't send a secondary to a 508 depending on the rest of your app, but that list would be very few, and likely schools you wouldn't have much chance at with a 513 anyways. most will blast a secondary out to basically everyone, and they'll look at your whole app when reviewing your secondaries, hence why the entire app (MCAT, LOR, etc) need to be in by secondary submission. you're losing significant time by not submitting now and waiting until july. you should have most secondaries done by end of july, not just starting to receive them (assuming you don't want to be late).
