Hello, I am retaking a six week physics summer class while balancing a job. I am not doing well in the class due to its rigorous nature ,my professor’s approach to grading and my job. I had a C the first time I took it because of mental health struggles. I have also retaken a few more classes from the ones I took while I was struggling. Should I withdraw or stick it out? I am scared to withdraw because it might look bad on my application. I would need As on my next two exams and my final in order to be on the edge of getting a B but I’m not sure if it’s possible.

Overall, my pre-reqs gpa looks good 3.4-3.6 but my cumulative is a 3.0.

I can't say whether you should withdraw or not, but I can share my personal experience. My GPA was 3.1 when I graduated and my OTCAS GPA was 3.2. I got into two programs despite some really bad grades (two F's) and two withdraws on my transcript. I retook the classes and got C's so it wasn't much of an improvement either. I think what is most important is getting a GPA above 3.0 and having a good prereq GPA (mine was 4.0).

I agree with what was stated above! No one can make that decision for you, but just know that each OT program is a little different as far as what they find most important while viewing applicants.

My cumulative GPA was a 3.18 due to having one F on my transcript (happened very early on in college so my gpa really suffered). There was also a few classes I had withdrew from early on in college as well. However, my prerequisite GPA was high and I continued an upward grade trend, not getting below anything below a B+ after that poor semester.

It took a lot of good experience and references, but I was accepted into 2 different programs, one of them being my top choice of the 5 that I applied to. It wasn’t easy (took me 2 cycles of applying) but worth it.

Best of luck to you no matter what you decide. At the end of the day, you have to do what’s best for you. The right OT program will see your value 🙂

Just be realistic about salvage potential. Sucks getting mogged by your job. Been there.
