I'm an undergrad in Australia doing an 8 week summer research program that I received a scholarship for. There's some other students doing the program for credit, but I'm not doing it for credit. Those who are doing it for credit are required to write a report of their research. My supervisor said it would be a good idea for me to write the report because it would be good practice. However, it doesn't count towards anything so I am inclined to not write it. And I will be starting with a new lab soon so I will be pretty busy.
