There is this university Hospital with a few unfilled spots right across the street where I live. Will it be advisable to just walk in to the program administration and ask for consideration? I know nrmp mandates we don't initiate contact with programs, but I just don't want to go unmatched and lose a year. Any suggestions?

Or should I call first?
I know they can report me for Match violation, but will they? Is it worth the gamble.

I am so confused, I can't even think straight.

The answer is simple, and not confusing. If you want to apply to that program, submit an eras application and wait.

An NRMP violation is bad thing and could make your life very difficult trying to match in the future. So, patience is your ally!

Thanks. Makes a lot of sense. Sucks to be me.

Match violations are right up there with Step 1 as far as what PD's look for based on PD surveys; in this case as a red flag.

I understand walking across street is violation

but I have scanned LOR from Esteemed professor at Huge University that was not uploaded by the time SOAP started so I couldnt include it

I held back yesterday, but now regret it because no calls as of yet. If I send email to programs with no text, only subject line and attached letter to be included in file

can that really be considered match violation. Most likely they will either ignore it or not get it, but it would seriously give me peace of mind. I highly doubt you can get reported for an email with no body and just attachment
