Wsup guys. So I am trying to keep up to date with my bio stuff because believe it or not I like it. But I am wondering if during this next year I should keep up to date with chem, ochem and physics? Im pretty sure I know the basics still but I probably forgot some of the more difficult concepts?

Do we use any of that in medical school? Im sure you use Bio. Thoughts? thanks

Just to make sure I'm clear - you've taken the MCAT, gotten a score you're happy with, are currently applying, and are currently keeping up refreshing yourself on MCAT material to... prepare for medical school?

STOP!!!!

haha, believe me im not like that at all. I like the bio stuff so I like to make sure I can remember at least 70 percent of what i learned. I dont care much about the other subjects but I dont want to start school feeling like I forgot everything you know?

If you don't need to retake MCAT, then don't keep it. But I do, it's good memories.😀

If you enjoy it go for it. If this is for some other purpose though, well, you know what I'm gonna say 😛

Yeah, agree with a lot of above.

There's no academic reason to do this. I suppose if you really like studying for nothing in particular then go nuts, but it won't be much help in medical school, and it's really not 'worth' anything more than whatever enjoyment you're getting from it.

Personally, I prefer TV in my downtime. I recommend Top Chef.

I leaf through my MCAT books and reminisce about the good times in my down time.😀

I think I would diagnose this as Stockholm Syndrome. 😉

haha - i had never heard of that syndrome. But I don't think keeping up to date with Bio stuff like some physio and hormone stuff is that silly. I mean, were going to be doing alot of bio in med school or do you guys think we sort of start fresh? I dont know - im going to try to read over a little bit but not go overboard with it i guess.

One of the best days in my life was when I lit my MCAT books on fire
