Side hustles?

She is providing a service for a perfectly legal business. Although I may agree with you that pornography is disgusting - I protest by not purchasing the service - not by applying personal judgement.

No one should loose their job for having another legal job on the side.

I had a classmate who was working as a dancer before and during pharm school. Whatever kind of dance she did, it landed her in hot water with the school ethics committee or whatever BS that was (I didn't know that there was such a prestigious committee to protect our dignity and grace).

I do some consulting work on the side.
Consulting firms that work on pharmacy operations/compliance projects would hire me as their subject matter expert and I basically am their "go to guy" whenever they have questions about pharmacy arena.
I would tag along for site visits (they pay for your trip + meals) and it really is interesting to see how other pharmacy departments operate.
Work isn't always available since it's project by project based but hourly rate is high and pretty much no stress as an independent contractor role.
interesting. May I ask what kind of experience is required to take on that job?

Well I suppose if people use their work attire and/or work supplies as props in their sex work - I could see that rising integrity issues.

but if someone works a job by day - and has a porn audience by night - that’s their own business. As long as they washed their hands before returning to work (and maybe hit the hand sanitizer station on the way in) this would be my only request.

-Buy some VTI every paycheck. It's up 19% YTD.

-Next time crypto crashes, buy some BTC, ETH and ADA. They are already up 50-260% since July.

-Buy an investment property for passive income.

-Consider an ice cream truck. Everybody loves ice cream.

do you still or have you ever held any of cathie wood's ETFs? Just wonder how they are doing now.

I don't know about the performer but would definitely wish the guys in the audience wash their hands thoroughly before returning to work.

I vote for both the performer, and the observer, to have to wash their hands before returning to work. I would be willing to bet if you ran statistics on those that don’t wash their hands (on both ends) vs those that do - we would see a significant difference in the hand washing group in terms of Covid spread.

There is a hypothesis for anyone interested in publishing a groundbreaking study of Covid transmission rates.

I had ARK ETFs last year but sold them early this year. They are still down YTD. If you caught the dips in March or May then you'd be up this year. The concept is nice but they seem to buy with no regard to entry price. I don't know the exact numbers but they bought SPCE around 40 and sold around 15, right before it mooned to 50. They bought FSLY above 100 and sold around 80. Bought COIN above 400, etc. ARKX, their SPCE ETF, had random stocks like John Deere, PRNT, Amazon, BABA - and of course no SPCE when it went to 50+.

ARK has been a target for short sellers since all of their purchases are public information, it's like seeing your opponent's poker hand. With the high expense ratios, you are better off buying their top holdings on your own. Before, when ARK made a large purchase then retail investors would follow. ARK has mostly lost that influence.

I'm even selling my ARKG now. May as well hold their top holdings if you want that type of exposure.

I'm bullish on Spotify now but I'm getting some TDOC

I heard there is a critical shortage for crutches. Hospitals are asking for donations or to refurbish them. I heard the lumber shortage is over. If anyone is handy, making crutches would be a good side hustle.

This is not so much as passive income in the beginning and may require a lot of work.

Any thoughts on nonprofit or for-profit in-home daycare center?

My sister is opening a for-profit in-home daycare center. My thoughts are that the effort involved in getting it registered takes far too long and requires an insane amount of effort.

There is always demand for daycare. The wait-list are months long. But it sounds like a lot of work and liability.

Yet many go out of business. Weird.

Of course likewise pharmacy undoubtably seems like a great business from an outsiders prospective. After all, there is always a line every time I go there.

This seems like way too high of demand of effort in managing, paperwork, and drama ("drama-mommas") to be an efficient side hustle (extra side cash with little oversight required, ease in operating). Not something to half-@$$; those drama-momma expectations are that you are prepping little Jimmy and little Sally to be the next president or first human on Mars

An alternative to daycare would be one of those indoor playgrounds. I took my son to one and it was run by one teenager at the door. It was something like $12 per child and $2 per adult. They had a couple bouncy houses and the rest of the place was filled with play kitchens and toys. Stuff you find on the curb for free.

The current waitlist near me is over a year, basically, once that child is born, one would need to register for daycare.

Only way to get into the Army last year or this year was active duty and the selection board was last week for FY22.
yeah I heard it's because AD 67E's fell back into reserves cancelling the slots that might have been available.......

I distribute discount cards to old coworkers and get $1 per claim, giving me a few hundred per month to invest in SPY. I wouldn’t use it at my store but don’t see the harm in distributing to other chains. Saves the patients money even if we all hate them.

Stock market investing and options trading.

My motto:

Stocks - yes please

Options - stay away from the Crack pipe!

Many of men have died on the hill of options trading. But hey - if you know how to nail options more power to you dude. Once upon a time I would trade SPY options and it lit up my pre-frontal cortex like a Christmas tree. I made some big money, and I lost some big money. I decided right then and there I would never touch an option ever again. Fortunately I came to this conclusion before it was too late.

Yeah I definitely wouldn't recommend options to anyone new. The first ones I tried gave quick 50%+ returns so I thought it was easy money. Then I lost it just as quickly.

You are confused. Once upon a time, “intrinsic value” mattered. These days just about every single stock is trading far above its fundamentally sound price. Stocks are so grossly overvalued they are just as speculative as cryptos. Have you ever heard of a utility crypto?

And thank you for descending from on high to visit our lowly forum while search for information on your IPO. We are graced by your presence.

“Learn stock picking” - wtf - have you not heard that the only stock you ever need to pick is GameStop and/or AMC. Diamond hands b****.

lol @ “stock picking”. I find it funny when people talk like they are some sort of authority on the subject. Your better off picking out 3-4 letters from banana grams to advise in “stock picking”

Quick question - what is an, “idiot cash price”

Calm down, that part was quoting a reddit post

I used to make tables and stuff out of old pallets - I sold a few dozen - that being said, i calculated what I made per hour and it was like $15, but I enjoyed it and bought more tools.
Lol I love the memes with a picture of a pallet and it says I made a deconstruction table lol

Yes, the worst thing that can happen to a new options trader is to win big money - you will shortly lose it all. Now I sell options occasionally and do a little better but still a hard game.

I'm not even buying individual stocks anymore. Back to ETFs I go. I think the easy money from 2020-21 is gone. Stocks are coming back down to earth. Valuations will matter more. These speculative and "disruptive" companies with no earnings won't be trading at 10x what they're worth anymore IMO. Sure there will be some pumps here and there, but in the long run we will go back to average market returns of 7-11% per year. I hope I'm wrong and everyone gets rich quick, but just trying to be realistic.

Same here…I’ve been doing ETFs only for the last 6 months or so.

I was talking to my broker several days ago...They are on the inflation/ economic growth wagon..."So" says I ....I'm starting to smell a DE-flation/recession..motif....Well it was via phone..so I didn't get slapped....The question I have IS..Where is this new large cohort of employees coming from if population growth is stagnant? Who is going to buy this flood of new stuff? Will the American system even survive as it is now? (I'm pretty sure that the REAL money men will take the politico's in hand and explain about their future if they look like they are REALLY gonna screw things up.....The last thing billionaires want is a revolution). If it was me I would be hiring Afghani's right off the C-17 (smart...sprech English, probably French) And set up a personnel desk at the southern border...I guess we shall see...

What about crypto? Still investing or no?

Just holding what I have. I'm down big on everything except ETH. Should probably average down but too scared. Which is probably a buy signal for everyone.

Lately I've been scared to put more money into VTI. Everything appears to be pointing to another economic meltdown, I hope I'm wrong...I'm seeing food shortages in my area, people still aren't working, and several bumps in interest rates are expected this year...

Trying to get my hands on gold, maybe ill think about some REITs...

Yea I just don’t see any possibility of the market continuing to rise in 2022. We stretched this rubber band to the limit

Hmmm on a more serious note, considering getting into passive income (renting out parking, storage, possibly B&B - on the fence with this one)
Selling old but in fantastic condition machines, appliances, electronics that have become redundant from upgrades and overlap from new, multi-functional devices (cut down on some minor clutter, budget for upcoming build in new home with spare/guest bedroom to rent out potentially)

Same. It feels like there's no safe place to put cash anymore. Real estate seems safe depending on your area but being a landlord can be like a second job.

Man, your comment just really cheered me up/made my day brighter. Now, I'm no hip young dude anymore, but to my understanding, OnlyFans is essentially a very mild form non-contact prostitution; it's crazy how some of these women (often young & naïve) act like it's a legitimate business and making them an entrepreneur

I could never advocate for anyone to sell his/her integrity/reputation
Imagine being a retail pharmacist and thinking sex workers have less integrity and a lower reputation than you.

When was the last time an only fans person got humiliated by a manager with an associate's degree? When was the last time a customer screamed in their face and made them apologize? 🤣🤣🤦🤦🤦

You are so disgustingly smug. I suppose I just noticed this over the past week or so.

What kind of work do you do and what the hell makes you think you are above everyone else in the way you conduct yourself professionally?

This is not an insult - I suppose I am just curious what brings someone to such a high degree of arrogance.

So when was the last time a sex worker felt humiliated/shamed into performing explicit act X, Y, or Z with some random person just to make ends meet? I bet that random person didn't even have an associate's degree...

Like come on man! Not all of us are the doormat RPhs you describe

I'm sure a CVS worker that felt the need to do Incel virtue signaling is an absolute paragon of self actualized mega confidence.
