will it look bad if i take all my chem classes at a cc?
in specific the ochem/gen chem series?

im taking all my bio/upper division bio classes at my uni, but due to lack of seats if im lucky enough i may be able to take my ochem at a cc and the way my school system is built i would have to take the next ochem sequence at the cc as well. will the board frown upon this once i do apply etc?

I agree. Take them at university. I believe most schools won't accept cc credits anyway.

Not really true... the only schools i have seen that don't "generally" accept cc credits are tufts, boston, and temple. I say generally, because even then there are exceptions to the rule ie: 24 DAT, 3.9 GPA.

Nevertheless... you are still safer taking them at a uni!! Good luck!! 😀

Most schools actully accept CC credits. A few schools with larger class sizes, less comp stats, that come with a large price tag dont like the CC credits.
I would say take them at a university. You dont want somone elses ignorance to affect your application. I personally couldnt afford a 4 year at first so i went CC... got all a's in gen chem, transfered, got all A's in o-chem.

If you can, take them at your university just to simplify things, if not, it won't be a big deal if you take them at a CC. Just realize that you wouldn't be able to apply to one or two schools though.

yes. i also just found out that im on the waitlist at my univ for my anatomy class. but that same class is wide open for registration at the cc. and i know that the cc professor is well known to be a great teacher. class at the cc starts in 2 weeks. should i not take it and risk not getting by staying on the waitlist at the univ? im the 6th person on the list at the university.
