I've been studying for the DAT for 3 straight weeks (4-6 hours a day) 6 days a week. I primarily focused my studies on the Bio section. At the same time, I am also taking Kaplan course and been studying off the Review Notes that they gave us...
I talked to my instructors, and they told me that studying the review notes alone prepared them really well for the Bio section (They scored 21-24 on Bio).

Unfortunately, I have been DOMINATED by Achiever's and TopScore Bio sections. Scoring 17-19.
I touched the Campbell book here and there, supplementing the Kaplan Review Notes.
So....for all of you who have taken the DAT and taken Kaplan, I really need your advice as far as studying for the DAT bio section.

thanks!

If you do a search you will find scoring a 17 on achiever in bio is not that bad.

Is that right?
Bleh, im so frustrated because achiever questions are so absurd!

But thanks for the head's up bro.

I recommend investing in REA's AP bio book: It is about 3 inches thick and all it has our multiple choice bio questions with explanations. For me, straight studying was 1/3 my time and practicing questions was 2/3 my time. Invest in any book that has questions for you to answer 👍
